Canada

Canada offers wonderful variety to the visitor. Unfortunately, the photos here don't even begin to scratch the surface. Most of my visits to Canada predated my interest in photography, so you will find no photos of deserving places such as the St. Lawrence River, with its whales, in eastern Quebec Province, nor photos of Montreal and Quebec City, both of which have worked hard to preserve their distinctive French Canadian cultures.

The photos here date from a trip through western Canada in March, 1996. I traveled through the Canadian Rockies to Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper, then west to Vancouver Island. This part Canada becomes a magical place in winter.
